Brady Barker

Managing Partner

Brady directs investor relations for Black Cedar Investments, where he has overseen the investment of millions of dollars into real estate deals. Brady focuses on building genuine relationships with prospective investors while ensuring a quality experience for current investors. His specialties include capital raising, investor relations, due diligence, and partner relationship management.

Passionate about helping others, Brady also runs a consulting firm and serves in the US Army National Guard. Prior to joining Black Cedar, Brady played a key role in the acquisition of 700 multifamily units and the disposition of 400 of those units, significantly exceeding their original projections.

Brady holds an A.S. Degree in Business Administration from Utah Valley University. He began his real estate career by assisting in the management and leasing of a portfolio of 300 units, including single-family homes and small apartment complexes.

Zach Rucker

Managing Partner

Zach is the Integrator and Operations Leader at Black Cedar. He oversees all business operations, ensuring seamless coordination across departments from acquisitions and asset management to investor relations. With a comprehensive role that includes portfolio oversight and financial reporting, Zach brings over six years of real estate investment experience to the team.

Previously, Zach served as an Acquisition Specialist at BlueSpruce Holdings, where he honed his expertise in property acquisitions. He also played a pivotal role in contract negotiations for MIMG, one of the nation’s largest multifamily operators, cutting expenses and significantly increasing property values.

While serving in his various roles, Zach has developed a proprietary underwriting template, extensively utilized by thousands of real estate investors nationwide. Additionally, he created a specialized Asset Management tool that is widely adopted by leading asset managers in the industry.

Beyond his responsibilities at Black Cedar, Zach co-hosts The Multifamily Mindset Podcast, coaches hundreds of new real estate investors, and trains other coaches. He holds a B.S. in Finance with a minor in Real Estate from Utah State University.

Hunter Gascay

Managing Partner

Hunter oversees all aspects of the deal acquisition process including deal sourcing, underwriting and due diligence. Hunter has over seven years of real estate experience, including roles in real estate development, asset management, private equity investing and property management. Prior to co-founding Black Cedar, Hunter served as the Controller for Somerset Pacific, a property management company overseeing the financial performance of assets, preparing budgets and maximizing the bottom line of over 1,800 units.

Before that, he worked for Community Development Inc., where he helped with the operations and management of a $160MM portfolio of multifamily tax credit projects. His main focus was providing key research and financial analysis required to support the development, operation and disposition of assets. Hunter holds a Bachelor’s in Finance and Accounting with a minor in entrepreneurship from The University of Tennessee.
